We stopped in for breakfast on our last day in East Glacier. The food was excellent but the service was a little slow.

Delicious breakfast, great vibe! The savory waffle breakfast with egg, thick bacon and grilled cheese on top was amazing.

The North Pork Sandwich is probably one of the 10 best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The side of chips are just from a bag, but the salsa seems to be homemade and is tasty. My wife had a grilled cheese and says it also was pretty good. No fountain drinks here, just choose from the cooler. If we lived in the area, we'd eat there fairly often. Give it a try on the way to Glacier N.P.

Order at the counter and serve yourself coffee are not our style. Had we known, we wouldn't have had breakfast here. Coffee was full of grounds. Yuck! They put out a new carafe but it was also full of grounds. Cheap brown paper napkins were a turn off too. Then breakfast came. Both of us ordered over medium eggs. Yolks were cooked through and the whites were that thin brown fried OMG! Bacon was good.

Wow!! Awesome place for breakfast. We drove from West Glacier for some breakfast. Glad we stopped in after an early AM hike at Glacier National Park. Had the burrito. The food and service was great. I highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area.

Base Camp is a rad little brekky/lunch spot in uptown C Falls that is well worth the stop if you're hungry. Good, fresh ingredients and friendly staff make it a decent spot to hit up especially upon returning from Polebridge or the North Fork. C Falls is making a comeback with rad little spots with good eats; Base Camp is definitely one of them.

Delicious, fresh and cooked to order breakfast in a hip and funky spot. The only disappointment was the packaged Smucker's preserves served alongside wonderful sourdough bread and English muffins - we expected a locally made huckleberry jam!

Local place with great breakfast or lunch. Awesome atmosphere with old school mountaineering equipment on the wall. BLT was amazing...everything here has been fantastic. A must stop if on your way to North Fork or Glacier Park.

Everything i have had here is amazing. The zermot waffle. The breakfast burrito. The blt was a highlight. Grilled cheese and soup. Even just eggs, potatoes and toast were tasty, spicy, well seasoned and cooked just right. A little highlight of downtown Columbia Falls.

This little gem of a cafe has been open less than a year. It could easily be my new favorite breakfast place in C-Falls. It is across the street and a bit north of Smith's. The outside has a rustic and active look to it, and this theme continues on the interior. You order at the counter here, but the service is still friendly and very good. I started with a tasty iced latte (they use Colter Coffee Beans). Then I asked what on the menu was "not to be missed". The nice lady recommended the Zermatt. This is Swiss Waffles (basically, savory waffles loaded with Swiss cheese & bacon chunks, covered with more Swiss cheese, and served with eggs on the top). It was an extremely hearty and unique breakfast offering. Indeed, I could only eat a bit more than half of it. I will definitely be coming back again.

Creative menu, nice decor, good fresh food. This small cafe is just what Columbia Falls Montana needed! Breakfast & lunch is created and prepared by the owner/chef whom I've heard attended Le Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts. This place is clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. Parking is interesting.

Had a great breakfast here on my way out of the north fork area of Glacier NP. I had the breakfast burrito, and my buddy had the swiss cheese and bacon studded waffles. In both cases, the food was excellent. The coffee, while not the best I've ever had, was in the top tier for a small breakfast place like this. Finally, the staff was extremely friendly, and prices were great...if I recall, the total for our meal, with ~20% tip, was under $20. Sure, I've had better breakfast on the east coast, but for rural Montana, at this price...you can't beat this place.

Cute little cafe in Downtown Columbia Falls. Owner is very friendly and offers a nice variety on the menu (including Gluten free options). Our food was delicious and we will certainly be back.

Hoo boy, where to start? I'll preface this by saying that sometimes the attention Yelp and others bring can be a blessing, and sometimes it can be a curse. We pulled up to the Base Camp on a rainy Friday morning at about 10 and the place was pretty busy. It appeared there were about 2 people working the front--a cashier/waitress and one woman delivering food to tables after we ordered at the counter. We got in line and our order was taken pretty quickly. My family went to stake a claim on a table while I went to get coffee for everyone. After the second pump, the carafe was sucking air, so I took the empty and waited for someone to trade me a full one for the empty. This was the first hint, when the woman at the counter said "oh, is it empty? Let me start a new one,,," Very shortly thereafter, the server showed up with two plates for my family...but they were really for the people at the next table. Then we waited for another five minutes for a new pot of coffee to brew...and come out unfiltered. There were literally rafts of coffee grounds floating around on the cups from the new pot. After a fairly lengthy wait (20 minutes, maybe?) my son's meal came with home fries, and not the sausage he ordered. The wait staff cheerfully apologized and got him some sausage.. Finally, my biscuits and gravy came out cold. If they'd been a little cool, I would never have said a word, but on this occasion I sent something back for the first time in my life. The food, once delivered properly and actually heated, wasn't bad. The service was inept. The coffee was inexcusable. I'm afraid they were simply overmatched by the numbers they faced. I can't give one star to a place that served me decent food, but they can't score better than 2. That's the lowest score I've ever given.

Great little breakfast cafe in Columbia Falls. The interior is on the sparse side, but I imagine it's meant to be that way. It's called Base Camp, and as I sat there enjoying my breakfast burrito, which was fantastic, its charm grew on me. It didn't remind me of a base camp, as I equate a base camp with a staging point for climbing with tents erected everywhere. It (the interior) did remind me, very much so, of a cabin in the woods. The sparsity of it, the eclectic collection of random nick nacks, the floor, the wood walls, everything really, brought back memories of the times I've spent visiting cabins, fish camps, and hunting camps during my lifetime and most recently up in the North Fork area. Just sitting there, eating my breakfast, looking at all the subtleties of the understated interior really transported me back to a simpler time...that is, until I looked out the window and saw a car going down Nucleus. Moral of the story, go there, face away from the street, block out the outside world, and just let your mind drift to a different time as you enjoy your great breakfast.

We stopped here after five days in Glacier. We were ready for some food we didn't have to cook or clean up after. We were so very lucky to stumble upon Base Camp Cafe! Its charming decor and outside eating area really caught our eye. Transitioning back to buildings is hard so it was nice to take a baby step. We were amazed by the breakfast selection. We learned Montanians know how to do breakfast, but the Base Camp Cafe was the best! Good hearty, healthy options- two thumbs up!
